Artist's Description
Born in 1930, Ronald Maddox received his training at the Hertfordshire College of Art and Design, and at the London College of Printing and Graphic Art. Maddox designed several stamps for the British Post Office, including the Legendary Buildings of Britain issue of 1978, the Urban Renewal issue of 1984, and the British Castles issue of 1988. His work is featured in both public and private collections including those of the residences of the British Prime Minister and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Maddox was a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers and the Society of Architectural Illustrators.
