Artist's Description
Derived from Consolidated's B-24 Liberator, the PB4Y-2 Privateer entered service with the U.S. Navy in 1944. An outstanding performer during the latter part of World War II, the Privateer also saw service in the Korean War as both a patrol bomber and as a night flare-dropping aircraft supporting Navy strike bombers.
