Description
Designed during the Korean War, the McDonnell F3H-2 Demon was envisioned as a carrier-based fighter with performance and firepower equal to any land-based fighter. Serving as an all-weather, missile-launching interceptor, the Demon was superseded in the early 1960s by the highly successful F-4 Phantom II.
