McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet
Artist
Jack Fellows
Medium
Painting - Oil On Masonite
Description
Versatility is the word that best sums up the qualities of the F/A-18 Hornet. Designed as both a fighter and an attack aircraft, ground crews can convert the airplane from one role to the other in less than an hour. Designed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and Northrop for use by the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. This painting was originally commissioned to illustrate the Republic of the Marshall Islands 32¢ F/A-18 Hornet stamp issued August 28, 1998.
Please note the "Fine Art America" watermark will not appear on the painting or any print reproduction.
