Zhan Gengxi Wall Art

A collection of paintings by renowned Chinese artist Zhan Gengxi, which were originally commissioned to appear on postage stamps and philatelic commemoratives. Zhan Gengxi was born in Kaifeng, Henan Province, in China in 1941. In 1958, he was admitted to the Chinese Traditional Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts where he studied under Ye Qianyu, Li Keran, Li Kuchan and Tian Shiguang. In 1979, he resumed his studies again at the academy, this time as a postgraduate majoring in flower-and-bird painting under the tutorship of Professors Li Kuchan and Tian Shiguang.
